The pre-owned superyacht market sold 326 vessels in the first half of 2026, an 8% decline in transaction volume year-on-year, yet total sales value rose 15% to $3.51 billion, up from $3.05 billion in H1 2025, according to Northrop & Johnson. Motoryacht sales value alone climbed 18% to $3.44 billion.
The divergence between falling deal count and rising total value points to buyers concentrating on larger, newer tonnage rather than spreading demand across the broader fleet — a consolidation trend worth tracking as brokers head into September’s Monaco Yacht Show, typically the industry’s most closely watched sales barometer of the year.
